HOW CAN I SUPPORT  PUPIL WELLBEING?

Wellbeing is the feeling of being well - mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. It brings a certainty that, no matter what happens, we are going to be OK. It’s a state of inner peacefulness from which one has a greater sense of self and a more positive outlook on life; without this, it can lead to poor mental health and, at worse, disorders and physical ill-health. The key is learning how to develop skills and strategies that support and promote wellbeing.

The following workbooks have been developed by NHS practitioners and professional mental health leads. They are designed to develop skills and strategies to explain and support better mental health. There is a student workbook from which tutees can work from and a teacher workbook, which explains the activities and resources.

Below are suggested for time activities, which Year 9 learn about as part of their MIND series of lessons. These are activities that promote good mental health and can be done with any year group.

For further resources to support these form time activities, you can find them in the staff share drive here: Mind form time activities
